The Genting Casino Luton hosts the latest stop on the 2016 Genting Poker Series this week, and it should be packed to the rafters if the previous incarnation of this tournament is an accurate benchmark.
In January 2016, a £220 buy-in GPS Luton Mini attracted 389 players to the tables, creating a £77,800 prize pool, which smashed the £35,000 guarantee. UK circuit regular David Lloyd triumphed in that particular tournament, walking away with a £12,075 cash haul after a three-way chop.

Although this leg takes place while the Main Event is ongoing at the 2016 World Series of Poker, the low buy-in is aimed at a completely different audience so a similarly sized crowd should descend on the casino across the three starting flights.
For £220, players receive 25,000 chips, and should they dust them off during the first six levels of play, re-entry is allowed. Also, GPS allows players to surrender their stacks if they have less than the starting stack at the close of play.
