UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Jamie O’Connor Rises to Fourth Place

Jamie O'Connor

  • Jamie O'Connor, and James Noonan climbed the rankings this week on the back of some excellent results.

Our friends over at have updated their online poker rankings database, and with all the new points added, Jamie “Boz” O’Connor has climbed to fourth place in the United Kingdom standings.

O’Connor had a solid Sunday this week with five cashes, including a seventh place finish in the Sunday Kickoff for $3,434, and a win in the $215 Bounty Builder for $12,977, both at PokerStars.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford is still the UK number one, and is so by some margin. Beresford put even more distance between himself and Phil “philroyal888” Mighall in second place by winning the $215 no-limit hold’em turbo at PokerStars for $4,730.

Former UK number one Rick “The Claimer” Trigg should leap a few places at the next update thanks to a brace of wins and a runner-up finish yesterday. The Sheffield-based grinder took down the Hot $162 for $4,687, the $109 no-limit hold’em 6-max progressive knockout for $2,805, then finished in second place in the Hot $215 for $6,004, all at PokerStars.

Another player enjoying life at PokerStars right now is Daniel “lucky_scrote” Carter, who returns to the top 20 after several weeks out of the limelight. Carter was part of a three-way chop in the PokerStars Sunday Million which netted him $122,069.02, and he also won the $33 no-limit hold’em for $2,251, finished third in the Hot $162 for $2,635, and was the fourth place finisher in the Big $55 for $3,556.

James Noonan Climbs to Sixth in Ireland

Most of the Irish top 20 is still the same as when we reported last week, although James “Jaymo” Noonan has climbed from 11th place to sixth on the back of an excellent run of form. More than 50 cashes, including nine final tables, and wins in the Big €30 at and the $109 Bounty Builder Saturday Special for $3,311 have propelled Noonan up the leaderboard.

Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen is still at the summit of the Irish rankings, and by more than 800 points. If he keeps putting in results like a win in the PokerStars $55 Bounty Builder for $3,919, nobody in the Emerald Isle is going to be able to catch him any time soon.

A shout out has to go to Daragh “daragh999” Davey who bagged a brace of wins this week. Both wins came on the iPoker Network, with Davey triumphing in the €3,000 Gtd Warm Up for $1,285 and in the €8,000 Gtd Phoenix for $2,020.
