Sunday Briefing
  • Bertie "bigstealer" Bayley was one of the big winners this weekend thanks to winning the Sunday Supersonic.

One of the weekly tournaments that every online poker player wants to win is the Sunday Supersonic at PokerStars. The tournament’s hyper-turbo structure means that it usually takes around two hours to complete, which massively improves any winner’s hourly rate.

This week’s Sunday Supersonic attracted 966 players and took 2.62 hours from start to finish, and when it ended it was the United Kingdom’s Bertie “bigstealer” Bayley who was the last player standing, a finish worth $30,961.47 after a heads-up chop with Australia’s Daniel “ShippityShip Nielson.”

Another British player in the winner’s circle was “Ahhh Is It?” who took down the $215 Bounty Builder for $13,080.91. On their table were “SonOfBadger” and Paul “Fold Machiii” Dando who finished fifth and sixth for scores of $4,136.47 and $3,101.91.

Two British players reached the final table of the Sunday Grand, namely Luke “lb6121” Schwartz in seventh-place for $8,806.00 and “EkkoMid” in fourth-place for $21,367.50.
