  • Conor Beresford's huge SCOOP win pushes him into fourth place in the worldwide online poker rankings.

The United Kingdom now has two of its players in the top 10 of the worldwide rankings thanks to Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford soaring to fourth place this week, joining Chris “Moorman1” Moorman who is in 10th place.

Beresford won a $100,000 guaranteed Super High Roller at partypoker on May 8 for $64,109, and only a couple of days ago won the $2,100 no-limit hold’em 4-max SCOOP event at PokerStars for $171,248. Beresford also finished in second place in the $100,000 guaranteed High Roller Powerfest event at partypoker for an additional $28,840 and now has more than $2,800,000 in online tournament winnings.

Just outside the worldwide top 10, in a career-high of 11th, is Jamie “EzGame89” O’Connor, closely followed by Matas “bebaimis777” Cimbolas who banked a cool $258,440 by finishing in second place in a $2,100 no-limit hold’em SCOOP event, the largest online score of his career so far.

Phil “philroyal888” Mighall enjoyed five five-figure scores this week, including one worth $25,400, his reward for winning the $320 Wednesday PLO 6-Max at PokerStars.
