UK & Ireland Online Rankings: Moorman Returns to Worldwide Top 10

Former world number one Chris “moorman1” Moorman has returned to the worldwide top 10 rankings following a continued run of form.

Last week, Moorman bagged a five-figure score of $10,879, this week he snagged one weighing in at $14,884 by finishing seventh in the $700 no-limit hold’em 6-max SCOOP event at PokerStars. Moorman also won the Big $162 for $4,833 and now finds himself ranked ninth in the world by

Second place in the UK is Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford less than five points behind the legendary Moorman. Beresford gave both his bankroll and ranking points tally a major boost by winning the $100,000 guaranteed Super High Roller at partypoker for $64,109, his second largest online cash.

Just behind Moorman and Beresford is Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell who had a huge score of his own this week, a $76,035 reward for being the runner-up in the $1,050 buy-in Sunday Grand.

Other big results by Brits this week include:

  • Jamie “EzGame89” O’Connor: won the $215 Sunday Supersonic for $33,483.21 and eighth in the $1,050 heads-up SCOOP event for $14,391.
  • Phil “philroyal888” Mighall: third place in the $109 heads-up SCOOP event for $6,867.
  • Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead: seventh place in the $2,100 NLHE Progressive Super-Knockout for $27,040.
  • Owain “sngwonder” Carey: fourth place in the partypoker Main Event for $10,535.

Big Results For Dan Wilson Closes Gap in Ireland

Across the Irish Sea, it is still Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen who tops the leaderboard, but the gap between him and Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson has narrowed thanks to the latter enjoying some solid results this past week.

Wilson reached several final tables during the past seven days, with his biggest scores being one for $1,606, his reward for a runner-up finish in the $7,000 Lightning 6-Max at 888poker, and a huge $21,492 that he picked up for being the runner-up in the PokerStars Sunday Cooldown.

Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas kept tabs on Wilson by winning the 61st Powerfest event at partypoker; the Lithuanian collected $6,335 for his win in the $40,000 guaranteed tournament.

Other Irish wins include on for Toby “JobyToyce” Joyce who won the $22 Mini Sunday Supersonic at PokerStars for $12,459, and Daniel “danielt999” Tighe who won the $33 Saturday Speedway at PokerStars for $5,311. Also, a mention to Conor “ccoonnoorr” O’Driscoll who finished third in the PokerStars Big $11 for $7,394, the seventh largest score of O’Driscoll’s online career.
