Sunday was a huge day for online poker thanks in part to the 2016 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) kicking off at PokerStars, but with most of those SCOOP events being two-day affairs, it was over at partypoker where one of the biggest scores of the day occurred.
Conor Beresford added $64,109.41 to his lifetime online tournament winnings by topping a field of 94 in the $2,600 Super High Roller. Playing as “LarryErbs,” Beresford defeated Joao “joaosimaobh” Paulo Simao heads-up to claim the title. Beresford also finished seventh in the $75,000 guaranteed Weigh-In for $2,434.60.
Also at partypoker, Jonathan “jgjg3000” Gill and Owain “ows86” Carey reached the final table of the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event, falling in fifth and fourth place for scores of $7,311.85 and $10,524.88.
Of the PokerStars Sunday tournaments that concluded, Jamie “Ship It 2010” O’Connor kept up his amazing run by chopping the Sunday Supersonic four ways before going on to win it outright for $33,483.21.
“DapperTan” was the runner-up in the Hot $109 for $18,706.07 with Ireland’s Trevor “allintrev23” Dinneen finishing two places earlier in fourth place for $10,060.96.
Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell, a UK-based Spanish grinder, banked $76,035.00 by being the runner-up in the Sunday Grand, while Sebastian “Bassysaffari” Saffari was the third place finisher in the Big $215 for $20,178.11, with “OLDWOLF133” busting in fifth place for $10,957.37.
A mention also to the reigning Irish Open champion Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson who was the second place finisher in the Sunday Cooldown, a finish worth $21,492.00.

The best result enjoyed by one of our players at Full Tilt this weekend was enjoyed by Ireland’s “Cumin At Me Bro” who finished in second place in the Sunday Major for $6,400.00. Earlier this year, this player won event 17 of the FTOPS and locked up $13,969.17.
Over at 888poker, two players with Union Jacks next to their aliases reached the final table of the $120,000 Baby Whale. “FItip4ldI” finished fourth for $11,232.00 and “BadModafoka1” was the runner-up for $20,160.00.
In the $150,000 Mega Deep Special Edition, “EkkoMax” finished in third place for $16,594.50 while “peterpan_33.” Finished in seventh place in the $60,000 Turbo Mega Deep for $2,196.40.
Spain’s UK-based grinder Sergio “zcedrick” Aido won the $75,000 Sunday Crocodile for $15,620.85 with “atlasshrugs9” finishing second for $11,447.02 with “E_Dub” winning the $20,000 Sunday Lightning for $4,928.79 after a three-way chop.
