  • Luke Schwartz won his fifth career SCOOP title in the 2016 Spring Championship Of Online Poker.

The 2016 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) kicked off this weekend at PokerStars, and there have already been some huge scores enjoyed by players from the United Kingdom and Ireland despite the festival being in its infancy.

One the most impressive results thus far is Luke “lb6121” Schwartz’s victory in the $2,100 no-limit Omaha Hi/Lo 6-Max Progressive Super-Knockout, which is Schwartz’s fifth career SCOOP victory. Schwartz topped a field of 145 to get his hands on $32,151.93 – after a heads-up chop – plus $19,578.12 in bounty payments.

Another player enjoying the progressive super-knockout format, but this time in a $215 no-limit hold’em tournament, was “bustitoyoni” who outlasted a field of 5,056 to grab the $79,320.67 first place prize and $13,439.11 in bounties.

There were three British players at the final table of the $2,100 no-limit hold’em Progressive Super-Knockout, namely Oliver “ollip_p” Price, “AnyTw0_Card$” and Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead who finished ninth, eighth, and seventh for scores of $10,985.00 (plus $17,375.00 in bounties), $18,590.00 ($21,562.50), and $27,040.00 ($21,273.43).
