Time is approaching April 15, 2011. That's the day that that changed the landscape of online poker, especially in the United States. It was that day that the poker world was rocked when the U.S. Department of Justice cracked down on major online poker operators.

One of the results of Black Friday was the payment debacle involving Full Tilt Poker, then operating on its own. In September 2011, allegations of defrauding players were added by the DOJ to the complaint. The person who served as the face of the scandal was Howard Lederer, and today he's still the man everyone points to.

Then, in September 2012, the DOJ would file a Second Amended Civil Complaint to introduce new forfeiture charges against Lederer and Full Tilt Poker CEO Ray Bitar. Lederer would eventually speak to PokerNews after a year-and-a-half of silence. In PokerNews' seven-part series titled The Lederer Files, he talked about what led to Black Friday and Full Tilt Poker's management thereafter.
