  • PokerNews launches new mobile app, Version 2.01. Download today on both Android and Apple devices.

PokerNews is proud to announce the launch of our totally revamped mobile app, which is available for free on both Android and Apple devices.

Version 2.01 comes after months of refinement. With the input of the poker community, PokerNews streamlined the mobile experience. The new app allows readers to easily move through seven tabs that encompass all that PokerNews has to offer. Among them are:

  • Top Content
  • News
  • Live Reporting
  • Strategy
  • Poker Rooms
  • Promotions
  • Twitter Tracker

Speaking of live reporting, the new app allows users to not only find tournaments currently taking place, but to scroll ahead to see which tournaments will offer PokerNews' top-notch live reporting services. Oh, and for those wondering, both the bug that would randomly switch cards in the live blog and those pesky pop-up ads – they've both been fixed in the new version.

"Poker players and fans are prone to consuming content on their mobile devices, which is why a flawless mobile app experience was among PokerNews' highest priorities," said iBus Media Chief Creative Officer Matthew Parvis. "We're proud to offer a revamped app to the community, and we're confident that everyone will agree – the new PokerNews app is the best poker app on the market today."

For Android, the app was eager to have more flexibility and functionality, meaning you need to download our Android app directly. Don't worry though as our Android app is secure and built to Google's standards. It's just important to note if you've got the old version via the Google Play store, it will no longer update automatically. You'll need to follow the below instructions

Just follow these 4 simple steps to download on Android:

  • Go to: Settings > Security
  • Turn on Unknown Sources
  • Pull down the Notification panel from the top of the screen and tap pokernews-app.apk
  • Install PokerNews App and run from the applications menu
