Sunday Briefing: AnyTw0_Card$ Wins the Sunday Warm-Up For $74.5K

Sunday Briefing
Sharelines
  • Check out the biggest Sunday Majors scores enjoyed by British and Irish players in the Sunday Briefing.

Imagine sitting down at your computer on a Sunday afternoon and 10-hours later looking at your PokerStars account balance and smiling to yourself as it had increased by $74,449.64.

That is exactly what happened to “AnyTw0_Card$” who navigated his way through a field of 2,356 entrants in the Sunday Warm-Up to emerge victorious and almost $75,000 richer. He was joined at the final table by the Irish player known as “callmemanu,” but their run ended with a fifth place finish and a $20,968.40 cash injection.

A few other British and Irish players enjoyed some big scores at PokerStars this Sunday, one of them being the talented Charlie “Epiphany77” Carrel who came close to winning the Sunday Rebuy, but fell short in third place, a finish worth $20,400.00.

Enjoying a similar score to Carrel was Michael “chipsxxx” Kossov who was the runner-up in the Sunday Kickoff for $21,204.00, while the in0form “carpediem200” finished eighth in that tournament for $3,092.25.

Two Brits final tabled the Bigger $109. Patrick “thebigdog09” Brooks’ run ended with an eighth place finish worth $3,918.50, with Gavin “bally29” Ball busting in third place for a $20,076.55 score.

Lastly at PokerStars, a shoutout to “aiamolinbaby” who collected $18,837.00 for their third place finish in the Sunday 2nd Chance.

Over at the sister site of PokerStars, Full Tilt, Mat “checktrap11” Cuthbertson won a total of $1,944.46 by finishing fifth in the Sunday Brawl, busting five players along the way, while “henrikstdavids” won $1,125.00 thanks to a fourth place finish in the Turbo Multi-Hundo.

888poker was once again a happy hunting ground for our players, particularly “Christoph91” who took down the $150,000 Whale for a cool $32,814.07. Tom “TL900” Langley finished seventh in the same tournament and scooped $5,616.10.

Also at 888poker, “floatjaboat” bust from the $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep in fourth place for $4,811.00, with “bradbfc10” finishing in eighth place for $1,415.00. In the $70,000 Sunday Crocodile, “CHRISTINE997” helped themselves to the $2,427.75 seventh place prize, and in the $100,000 Sunday Challenge, Carl “SwansFC_CJ” Johns finished eighth for $2,266.48, with “Mercpro” busting in ninth place for $1,312.71.

A doff of the cap to wrap things up to Irish star Kevin “THEDREAMER77” Killeen who chopped the partypoker $150,000 guaranteed High Roller three ways for a $21,035 addition to his bankroll.
