Ireland’s Dara “SlowDoke” O’Kearney enjoyed a successful Sunday after chopping the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic heads-up, before finishing in second place, for a $36,392.69 score.
The result is O’Kearney’s second-largest online cash of his long and illustrious career, the largest coming in August 2013 when he finished second in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $86,285.50 and came off the back of the United Kingdom’s Ben Vinson winning the hyper-turbo structured event the previous week.
Joining O'Kearney at the final table was Luke “LFmagic” Fields, who fell in fifth place for an $11,422.15 addition to his bankroll.
Another Irishman enjoying a large score at PokerStars this Sunday was “Sunset King.” He outlasted a field of 1,319 players in The Bigger $162 to secure $33,634.99 in prize money, trebling his previous biggest haul of $11,239.00.
This week’s $109 Sunday Rebuy ended in a three-way chop and saw a British one-two finish. Paul “Senterpied” Senter saw his run end in second place, a finish worth $31,000.00 after the deal mentioned above while Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford came out on top and collected $34,000.00 for his victory.
A doff of the cap also goes to “PaddyClover” who bust the Bigger $109 in eighth place and walked away with $4,156.50.
“Patsharpe,” otherwise known in online poker circles as “bigmick00,” was another player involved in a chop, this time over at 888poker. Here, he chopped the $100,000 Sunday Challenge when heads-up and won $16,905.72 before busting in second place.
Talented Irish grinder, Kevin “SusanBoyle1” Killeen, was at this particular final table; his tournament ended in fifth place for a $5,689.82 payday.
There was another 888poker Sunday Major final table appearance by one of our players, that player being “liamtrim” who was eliminated from the $150,000 Mega Deep in eighth place for $3,405.60.
Across to Full Tilt now where “DeIBoy818” won $4,452.63 for his runner-up finish in the Super Sized Sunday, and “Dearman2” collected a similar sum — $4.350.00 – for his fourth place finish in the Sunday Major.

Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead continued his excellent recent form with a fourth place finish in the $530 buy-in $150,000 High Roller for $15,229.50. Kevin “THEDREAMER77” Killen finished eight in the High Roller for $6,649.50.
The partypoker UK Team Challenge runner-up, Richard “richking” King won the $109 buy-in $50,000 Slow Grind for $12,814.82, again after a heads-up deal, with his fellow Brit David “dcoates3” Coates finishing third for $7,511.20.
