  • Ben Vinson won the Sunday Supersonic this weekend for $45,196.38.

  • Ben "1Don'tStop1" Heath wins the Sunday 6-Max.

It was Halloween this weekend, which saw many of the United Kingdom and Ireland’s top poker talent head to parties dressed as ghosts, ghouls and zombies, but there was nothing scary about their performances at the virtual felt on Sunday because a handful of them walked away with bags of cash for their efforts.

Ben “vindog03” Vinson is no stranger to success in poker and he added another great result to his CV when he won the Sunday Supersonic at PokerStars for $45,196.38. No doubt some of that ample prize will find its way to the cashier’s desk at Dusk Till Dawn this week where the World Poker Tour (WPT) UK festival takes place.

Also in the winner’s circle at PokerStars on Sunday was Ben “1Don’tStop1” Heath who emerged victorious in the Sunday 6-Max and walked away with $19,674.95. Heath is one of the best up and coming players in the UK today, a fact helped by him being friends with another phenom, Charlie Carrel, what a deadly duo those two make.

Three of our players reached the final table of the Sunday Rebuy this week. Ben “jenbizzle” Jones crashed out in ninth place for $3,411.00 while Rhys “floppinhel” Jones finished in fifth for $12,143.16. Going the deepest was Ireland’s Kevin “torino2000” Killeen who fell in third place for a $22,967.40 score.

Also at PokerStars, “optimax17” chopped the Bigger $109 before going on to win and scoop $35,000.00, while “1HL7” managed to progress to seventh place in the Sunday Million for a $25,078.50 addition to their bankroll.

Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead helped himself to the $17,993.04 third place prize in the Bigger $162 and then “dgrinder92” finished fifth in the Sunday 2nd Chance for $9,969.12.

It was busy over at partypoker where its Pokerfest entered its eighth day. Allan “GRANDAD_BAZ” Peers added $3,314.43 to his lifetime winnings by finishing in third place in the $35,000 Slow Grind.

Sam “Sammy_squid” Grafton bust the $250,000 guaranteed in ninth place for $4,174.70.

British players enjoyed some success at Full Tilt, too. “DelBoy818” finished second in the Sunday Brawl for $7,398.72 with Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes finished fifth in the same tournament for $3,065.18.

In the Sunday Major, “Bibi Moy” finished ninth for $1,275.00, Mike “SirBaggio” Donofrio finished eighth for $1,725.00 and “Malakastyle” ended his run in fifth place for $4,350.00, while Ireland’s “trapnel” collected $1,782.45 for finishing fifth in the Super Sized Sunday.

Scott “AggroSantos” Margereson won the 888poker $70,000 Crocodile for $15,053.85 and was joined at the final table by Michael Chi “mczhang” Zhang and Stephen “wd1head” Woodhead who finished fourth and ninth for $6,133.05 and $1,218.64.

CrackdeI29” took down the $20,000 Sunday Lightning 6-Max for $5,957.00 with “I_Rage__Quit” collecting the $1,061.90 sixth place prize, and a mention too to “WALTERSALTER” who won the $10,000 Tornado for $2,990.00
