Moorman’s Book of Poker Being Made Into Video Format
When a new book is released into the public domain it is common practice to make it available in several formats. Traditionally, hardback and paperback versions of books are printed, and with the increasing popularity of e-readers such as Kindle, e-books usually follow. Some books are narrated and turned into audio books and now the publishers of Moorman’s Book of Poker are upping the ante and turning the book into video format.
Released in November 2014, Moorman’s Book of Poker, co-authored by the legendary Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, received widespread critical acclaim. I was one of those signing the book’s praises, saying it is “a must-have in your collection.” I still stand by those words because I think it is a fantastic book, one that gives you an insight into how one of the best poker tournament players of our time thinks about and approaches the game.
The book is in the process of being turned into a series of eight videos, each approximately one-hour long, by D&B Poker. Each video features 10 hands taken directly from the book, meaning the 80 hands from the book are replicated with the exact analysis and explanations found in the printed edition. The video format becomes available on December 1, 2015.
D&B Poker say that the video version of Moorman’s book “brings the analysis to life as the exact situation being discussed is represented at all times on screen.” It could be a game-changer for those wanting to take their poker skills to the next level.
Those who have already bought Moorman’s Book of Poker either in paperback or ebook can email a copy of their receipt to info@dandbpoker and receive a 15% discount off the video’s launch price of $45. However, if you would like to get your hands on a copy for free, keep reading because PokerNews has a great offer for you.
