The biggest and richest of the live poker tournaments and festivals kicks off at the end of the month at Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) in Nottingham. On October 28, the 2015 partypoker World Poker Tour (WPT) UK festival commences and it is the eagerly anticipated £1 million guaranteed WPT500 UK that gets the festival underway.

Between October 28 and November 8, there are a whole host of tournament taking place with buy-ins ranging from £300+£30 up to a £10,000+£250 Super High Roller that is sure to attract some of the best players in the business.

Before then, DTD hosts the live final of the partypoker UK Team Challenge, essentially a £35,000 freeroll that is only open to those players who competed in the online element at partypoker during September and October.

Running alongside the UK Team Challenge, for one weekend at least, is the first leg of the new Grand Prix poker Tour, a £60+£10 buy-in tournament with several online and live Day 1s and a guaranteed prize pool of £250,000!

Several Grosvenor 25/25 Series take place throughout the month with the popular low buy-in tour heading to Huddersfield, Walsall, Portsmouth, Manchester, Swansea, and Dundee, while once again Dublin has an exciting calendar of events for players to get their teeth into.

On October 21, the Full Tilt Irish poker Open (IPO) Dublin festival begins at the Regency Airport Hotel in Dublin, with the Amateur Poker Association and Tour (APAT) Irish Amateur Poker Championship taking place at the same venue from October 25-26. Rounding out the quartet of major Irish events is The Spooktacular Poker Festival held at the Red Cow Hotel in Dublin which features a €500+€60 buy-in Main Event with a €50,000 guarantee and the BoyleSports poker & D4 Events One Day Classic at the Regency Airport Hotel.

Other highlights of the October schedule includes the UKIPT Super Series at the Hippodrome Casino from October 14-18 where the £500+£50 buy-in Main Event is almost certain to put out impressive numbers. You can qualify for that particular event online at PokerStars.
