Christopher Brammer Soars to Third in the Worldwide Online Poker Rankings

Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer was once ranked number one online poker tournament player in the world by and thanks in part to some excellent results in the 2015 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP), Brammer is knocking on the door of that top spot once more.

Brammer has climbed to the top of the pile in the United Kingdom and up to third in the world at the last update of the rankings. The biggest leaderboard points earner for the man from Winchester came courtesy of his victory in the WCOOP 2nd Chance 60: $1,050 NL Hold’em Progressive Super Knockout that banked him $55,944 and 544.06 points.

Other deep runs in the following tournaments have helped propel Brammer back to where many say he belongs:

  • 4th in WCOOP 2nd Chance 56 for $14,960
  • 4th in $215 NL Hold’em for $4,862
  • 21st in WCOOP-61 for $4,237
  • 25th in WCOOP 2nd Chance 69 for $3,925
  • 39th in Sunday 500 for $1,653

Brammer’s climb has knocked Patrick Leonard into second place in the UK and Billy Chattayway into third. Chattaway is still bossing the tables whenever he players and after narrowly missing out on his third ‘COOP title of 2105, went on to finish third in the PokerStars $109 NL Hold’em 1R1A for $3,455 and won the 888poker $15,000 Monsoon for $3,183.

Also on the rise is Phil “philroyal888” Mighall who is now ranked 71st in the world, while Paul “fold machiii” Dando is up to 124th in the world, a career-high, after a cash in the WCOOP Main vent and runner-up finish in the Sunday 6-Max for $19,163.

A doff of the cap goes to Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell wh finished third in the PokerStars $109 NL Hold’em Turbo 1R1A for $11,108, to Rick “TheClaimer” Trigg who won both the Sunday Brawl ($9,712) and the Turbo Multi-Hundo ($6,500) at Full Tilt before cashing for $13,500 in the WCOOP Main Event and to Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who finished fourth in the $215 NL Hold’em Turbo 1R1A Special Edition for $12,016.
