The 2015 World Series of Poker Europe continued in Berlin, Germany, Thursday with the first of two starting flights in the €10,450 WSOP Europe Main Event.

PokerNews was on hand for all the action and will be in Berlin for the duration of the 17-day series. As a part of our coverage, that is brought to you by 888poker, we will be bringing readers a special "888 Hand of the Day" every single day throughout the entire WSOP Europe schedule.

Today, the 888 Hand of the Day turned out to be a classic race between two World Champions as Germany's own Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, the winner of the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker, took on 2014 WSOP Main Event champ Martin Jacobson.

It was Level 4 with blinds at 150/300 with a 25-chip ante when Holz looked down at the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and raised it up to 750. Jacobson flatted and Farid Jattin made it 3,100 from the cutoff.

"I would consider flatting sometimes," explained Holz. "But in that particular situation I think Farid is just three-betting too wide, so queens is a good hand to four-bet. I end up in a three-way pot there a lot if I flat and queens just doesn't perform too well against those two ranges, so I prefer to push both players out of the pot."

Holz elected to four-bet, making it 7,800. Jacobson tank-shoved and after Jattin passed, Holz had a decision.

"I think he always has ace-king, kings or aces there," he said. "It depends how often he three-bets ace-king compared to calling, but I guess I have to call. I definitely considered folding. It's not that obvious of a call that it might seem, considering it was 60 or 65 bigs. I definitely considered it."

Eventually he made the call, Jacobson turned over the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the queens held in the classic race on a {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board, sending Jacobson home early.

"Obviously that's a great result for the hand," he said.
