Records Broken as James Chen Wins the MPC High Roller For HK$1,704,000
A couple of records were broken in the Macau Poker Cup (MPC), with the first being when 75 players ponied up the HK$80,000 ($10,322 USD) buy-in to compete for a share of the HK$ 5,586,000 ($720,705 USD) prize pool.
According to the PokerStars Blog post titled MPC23 High Roller: All glory to James Chen, another record was broken when Taiwan's James Chen took only 75 minutes to dominate the final table, the fastest final table in MPC history.
Chen collected HK$1,704,000 ($219,850 USD) after beating Japan's Makoto Yoshimichi in heads-up play, which only lasted five minutes.

Full Tilt Interviews WSOP Bracelet Winner Craig McCorkell
Back in 2012, the UK's Craig McCorkell won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet after outlasting a field of 586 players to win $368,593 in Event #36: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.
While McCorkell did not win a bracelet this year, he did manage to cash seven different times in the 2015 WSOP, including a deep run in the WSOP Main Event where he finished in 427th place for $21,786 and a fifth-place finish in WSOP Event #12: $1,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em for $82,467.
The Full Tilt Blog recently interviewed McCorkell to find out about McCorkell's bracelet run, his experience in the 2015 WSOP, and life in general. While you will need to read the interview to learn more about most of this, we will let you know that McCorkell isn't a fan of either Arsenal or Spurs, telling Full Tilt when asked which team he liked better that, "I really don't like either of those teams, I can't pick one."

Partypoker Announces the Launch of the Grand Prix Poker Tour
Partypoker and Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) entered a multi-year marketing partnership earlier in the year as part of a commitment by the online poker room partypoker's to grassroots poker to the United Kingdom poker community.
On the heals of the success of the Grand Prix Millions in May, partypoker announced the launch of a new Grand Prix Poker Tour on its blog, which kicks off a full year of events on Oct. 17 at DTD in Nottingham, before continuing on to London, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow, Brighton, and Cardiff. Additionally, there are four different online events during the schedule.
What's great about this new poker tour from a grassroots perspective is that players can potentially win very big with each stop guaranteeing a healthy £250,000 guaranteed prize pool for just a small buy-in of £70.
