While Steven Warburton and Kuljinder Sidhu were busy helping themselves to massive scores in in Barcelona, hundreds of grinders from the UK & Ireland were sat at home trying to do the same in online poker’s Sunday Majors.

One player, Antonis “Tony” Poulengeris, known as “ENIGMA4U4ME” at PokerStars, helped himself to a career-best score of $138,184.70 after he chopped the PokerStars Sunday Million heads-up before falling in second place.

The property developer from London finished fourth in the Sunday Million in 2013 for a score shy of $76,000. Now he can boast of lifetime online winnings of more than $600,000 thanks to this huge score.

Ireland’s “clancywigam” was also at the Sunday Million final table. He secured $46,155.00 for his impressive fifth place finish.

Keeping with the PokerStars results and that of Paul “Fold Machiii” Dando, a recent addition to the top 20 of the UK online poker rankings, who added $15,084.30 to his bankroll by finishing fourth in the $109 NL Hold’em Sunday Rebuy. Dando was joined on the final table by Yucel “lotsofmoney” Eminoglu who bust in ninth place for $2,997.27.

In the Bigger $109, Robbie “Adreny” Bull finished ninth for $2,147.95 with fellow Brit, “Squa1l” reaching one place higher and collecting $3,843.70, while in the Sunday 500, Daniel “NukeTheFish!” Wilson banked an impressive $37,543.48 score after chopping three ways and going on to win the whole shebang. Top work, sir.

Like the Bigger $109, the Sunday 6-Max had two Union Jacks at its final table. “Shaitan87” fell in sixth place for $3,176.86 with “SharkBoy217” finishing in fourth place for a $7,150.50 score.

$9,216.33. That’s the sum added to the PokerStars account of the awesomely names “5typesofmeat” after the Nottingham-based pro finished third in the Bigger $75, while “CrackdeI29” won The Hotter $75 for $17,572.62.

At Full Tilt, “BedoliFE,” thought to be a Spanish high stakes cash game player living in the UK, won The Sunday Brawl for $16,500.00 , a tournament that both Rick “TheClaimer” Trigg and Jareth “hteraaj2001” East narrowly missed out on a final table appearance.

box_fresh” finished sixth in the Big Ben for $1,513.40 with Rhys “floppin_ell” Jones collecting $3,000.00 for his sixth place finish in the Super Sized Sunday event.

CrackdeI29,” fresh from winning the Hotter $75 at PokerStars, finished eighth in The T-Rex for an additional $687.50.

An $8,700.00 score was secured by “OMGsete” thanks to his fifth place finish in The $150,000 Whale at 888poker, a tournament that Ireland’s Cathal “cshine87” Shine finished seventh in for $5,250.00.

That man again, “CrackdeI29” turned up in the $40,000 Crocodile and helped himself to the $4,464.00 fourth place prize, while Sam “sammygrinder” Squid and “paramufc” finished fifth and second in the $75,000 Sunday Challenge for $4,654.02 and $13,302.85 scores respectively.
