Anyone who has ever met or worked alongside Rob Yong, owner of Dusk Till Dawn, knows that he’s not a man who does things by halves. Always willing to put his money where his mouth is and take large financial risks for the better of the British poker community, some may say that Yong is something of a visionary.
Yong has once again raised the bar when it comes to a poker promotion and is offering partypoker players the chance to play him heads-up, either live or online, for $25,000 cash. Prize money aside, the best thing about this promotion is that it is essentially a freeroll, with anyone who plays two nightly tournament being in with a chance to take on Yong and win his cash.
Only players who are members of the Dusk Till Dawn Live Club are eligible for this promotion, which ends on August 31, 2015, so time is of the essence here. If this describes you, all you have to do is enter the $5.50 buy-in Daily UK Major: $2,000 Gtd Micro at 7:00 p.m and the $27.50 buy-in Daily UK Major: $10,000 Gtd Mini and if you reach the final table of both on the same night (re-entries do not count) you get to play Yong heads-up for $25,000.
We wrote about the new Daily Majors earlier this week, following this link to read all about them and how much value they’re adding to partypoker’s tournament schedule.
It seems like Yong is taking a significant risk with this promotion because the two qualifying tournaments are also part of the UK Team Challenge, meaning hundreds of players are competing in both each and every night. While reaching two final tables of specific tournaments in one night may be a long shot on its own, there are currently 160 teams registered for the UK Team Challenge, each with between two and four players, so Yong is going to have to dodge a few bullets if he is keen on keeping hold of his $25,000!
Those of you who are members of Dusk Till Dawn but don’t have a partypoker account can download partypoker via UK & Ireland PokerNews and claim a 100% up to £250 bonus when you make your first deposit using the bonus code UKPNEWS.
Should you want to compete in the UK Team Challenge, you need to hurry because registration closes on August 31.
