The new look Full Tilt International Poker Open (IPO) heads to the Cork, Ireland this weekend, a city often referred to as the cultural capital of the Emerald Isle. Whether or not that’s true is irrelevant because from July 10-12 it will be swarming with poker players looking to become the latest in a long line of IPO champions.
The highlight of the weekend’s action is, without a doubt, the $250 buy-in Main Event. The first of two starting flights gets underway at 4:00 p.m. on Friday 10 July and sees players sit with 25,000 chips and play to a 30-minute clock.
Day 1b commences at the slightly earlier time of 2:00 p.m. on Saturday 11 July and is expected to be far busier than its Day 1a counterpart.
Bust from the Main Event on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday and you can jump straight back into the action with a €60 buy-in no limit Hold’em turbo event, a €110 no limit Hold’em bounty or a €115 no limit Hold’em turbo deepstack.

The previous Full Tilt IPO saw the tour head to Bray, with the Main Event attracted 184 entries and creating a $40,112 prize pool. The lion’s share of that money ended up in the pocket of Dave Masters who defeated fellow Irishman David Harris heads-up to get his hands on the trophy and $9,012.
There’s still chance to qualify for the IPO Cork Main Event at Full Tilt and do so for as little as $1. Download Full Tilt via UK & Ireland PokerNews, open the lobby in standard view and click tournament and then satellite and you will find a number of tournaments labelled as IPO Satellites. If you win an IPO ticket, you can save it and use it for any future IPO event you wish.
After the Macau Sporting Club in Cork, the Full Tilt IPO has stops in Newcastle, London, Killarney, Dublin and Limerick so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to spend any tickets that you may win.
