It seems like there isn’t a week that goes by where Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) owner, Rob Yong, writes a blog that announces a new and exciting live tournament offering to the poker-loving people of the UK. On Thursday, Yong penned another such blog that gave DTD players notice of no less than nine tournaments or promotions taking place during the remainder of 2015.
The first of these events is the recently launched Monthly Deepstack that Yong says expects to overlay by 150 players, or £45,000 to you and me, in July before it hits its 1,000 player quota for the August edition.
After listening to player feedback, Yong has made some amendments to the Monthly Deepstack including ensuring that all Day 2 players receive at least £150, altered the blinds to 40-minutes and more besides.
Players can buy in with cash on the day, via partypoker or by using tickets won in the various DTD tournaments that run online at partypoker. The July edition represents massive value to the players and we’d say it is worthwhile trying to qualify online at partypoker and increasing your EV massively.
Yong also said he plans to play in all of the upcoming Sky Poker UK Poker Championships 6-Max event that run at DTD’s live venue during the week ending August 23. Sky Poker have reduced the buy-ins by 50% to make them more attractive to recreational players and have added a £150 buy-in 6-Max Mini to the schedule, which you can read in full here.
Also discussed in the blog is the Beat The Boss promotion — where players can win the chance to lock horns with Yong at a live final and win a share of £10,000 – and the Iron Man Challenge that sees players win a seat in the Beat The Boss final and have the chance to secure a £300 Deepstack seat every week.
Arguably the most exciting parts of Yong’s blog are the tournaments that are still being finalised so don’t have schedules yet.
Pencilled in for the week ending October 11 is the inaugural Grand Prix Tour, which takes place at the home of Manchester United, Old Trafford. Plans are being made to take the tour to Scotland, Wales, The North East, Yorkshire, London, and the South Coast where each stop features a £60+£10 buy-in £250,000 guaranteed Main Event, a £300+£30 High Roller, a £60+£10 Second Chance and a £60+£10 six-max event.
Then there’s the partypoker UK Team Challenge that runs both online at partypoker with the live final scheduled for the week ending October 18, a two-week World Poker Tour festival at the start of November, the first-ever Pokerfest Live in September and the relaunch of the Dusk Till Dawn Club Championship in December.
