Chattaway has climbed to fifth in the UK and 40th in the world following a brace of five-figure scores that came less than a week after he claimed the $111,132 first place prize in the PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event #26.

Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer is another player on the rise; the former world number now is now up to seventh in the UK thanks to a string of impressive results. Brammer won a $215 NL Single Draw 2-7 SCOOP event last week for $12,894 and then won a $215 NL Hold’em Turbo event a couple of days later for $15,582.

Last Thursday, Brammer won the $320 NL Hold’em 6-Max for $19,152 and then grabbed the $7,735 27th place prize in the $2,100 NL Hold’em 1R1A SCOOP event.

Climbing four places to 16th in the UK this week is Tom “hitthehole” Middleton thanks to a number of final table appearance in the past week, seven in total. The former European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona winner is hitting form at the right time and will be full of confidence as he prepares to take on the World Series of Poker.

Jude Ainsworth Closes Gap at the Top of the Irish Standings

It was a relatively quiet week for grinders calling the Emerald Isle home, although one its most prominent online poker players had a couple of decent scores and closed the gap on Sergio “EV4dGloryOMC” Garcia as a result.

Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth won the PokerStars $16,50 NL Hold’em Turbo for $4,619 and then put together a deep run in the $1050 buy-in SCOOP medium Main Event for $9,536. Ainsworth is now 283 points behind his Spanish foe, an amount that can be bridged with one big win in the coming seven days.

Cathal “shinerrr” Shine won The Hot €30 at PokerStars France ($2,403), bubbled the final table of a Big $109 at PokerStars ($1,311) cashed in the $1,050 SCOOP Medium Main Event ($5,086) and finished in third place in the PokerStars $109 NL Hold’em Turbo Progressive Super-Knockout ($2,762) yet still fell one place to third in Ireland.
