The 2015 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) is past the halfway point and it is shaping up to be one of the best of all-time for players from the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Through the completion of Event #30, players from the UK have won $3,822,450.12 (only Canada with $4,423,292.45 have won more) and the Irish contingent have locked up a cool $793,003.06. While the Irish grinders are yet to notch up a victory, the UK now has nine SCOOP titles this year, the most recent won by popular pro Billy “b8chatz” Chattaway.

Chattaway came out on top in SCOOP-26-High, a $1,050 NL Hold’em 3-Stack event that attracted 588 entries. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Chattway defeated Austria’s “mindgamer” heads-up to get his hands on the $111,132.00 first place prize.

Congratulations also go to Rick “ThEcLaiMEer” Trigg who finished in fifth place in the same event for $31,752.00.

The player known as “bigfox86” is another player to have secured a SCOOP title, taking down the $700 NL Hold’em Ante-Up for $52,321.60 while Britain-based Lithuanian “plplaya” took down the $215 buy-in Stud event for $10,206.00.

Another non-Hold’em title was won by the former world number one Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer who collected $12,894.00 when he won the $215 NL Single Draw 2-7.

Joining the aforementioned players in the winner’s circle are the likes of “10111420” who claimed the title of $215 NL Hold’em 4-Max champion ($39,613.72), “luckyme1414” who won the $82 PL 5-Card Omaha for $25,699.02, and Luke “lb6121” Schwartz who is the $1,050 rebuy PL 5-Card Omaha Hi/Low 6-Max champion ($69,268.09).
