UK & Ireland Online Rankings: Marcin Milde Continues to Climb

Marcin Milde

Marcin Milde started April 2015 in style by winning the PokerStars Sunday Million for more than $230,000 and since then it is like he can do no wrong at the virtual felt of the world’s largest online poker site.

In the past week alone, Milde has won an $8.80 NL Hold’em rebuy ($10,038), a $109 NL Hold’em Turbo ($6,053), a $55 NL Hold;em 1R1A ($1,485), a $27 NL Hold’em Knockout ($3,042) and a $33 NL Hold’em rebuy ($2,038) all at PokerStars.

These impressive results, couple with the dozens of other deep runs and final tables, have seen Milde climb to sixth place in PocketFives.com UK rankings and a career-high of 45th in the worldwide standings.

Another Brit in fine form is Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor. The Burnley lad helped himself to runner-up finishes in The Benjamin and Thursday Thrasher at Full Tilt for combined scores in excess of $5,300 and then final tabled two Sunday Majors in the shape of the PokerStars Sunday Kickoff (sixth for $5,686) and the Sunday Brawl (third for $13,726) to push up to 12th place.

Special mentions have to go to Billy “BillyChat” Chattaway who has the chance of his third PocketFives.com Triple Crown thanks to having won the PokerStars $109 NL Hold’em Rebuy ($8,500) and the Betfair €7,500 Master ($2,621) on April 20 and 21 so now needs to bink a tournament on a different site to claim another crown.

Also to Jonathan “Gil3000” Gill who continues to surge up the rankings. Gill in extremely close to entering the UK top 20 and when he does eventually break through it will be thoroughly deserved. When a luminary such as Patrick Leonard sings your praises then you know you’re not too bad at this game.
