UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Marcin Milde Climbs to a Career High

Online poker rankings

Winning the PokerStars Sunday Million not only adds bags of cash to your bankroll, it also massively improves your online poker ranking. Just ask Marcin “MARCIN123” Milde if you do not believe me.

Leeds’ Milde walked away with $230,614.05 after defeating a field of 7,687 in the April 5 edition of online poker’s biggest weekly tournament. In addition to the money, Milde was also in receipt of more than 1,200 leader board points and these were enough to push Milde into the top 10 of the UK rankings (he’s in ninth place) and 97th in the world, the latter being his best ever global ranking.

Jareth “jareth3542” East is another man who is moving in the right direction, upwards. East won the $55 NL Hold’em Rebuy Turbo Big Antes for $3,108 and finished third in the Big $162 for $12,417 on April 2 at PokerStars and that brace of results were enough for East to jump one place to fourth in the UK.

Another player who has started in hot form during April is Andy “andyh26” Holman. The Cardiff-based grinder has already booked a win in the Big $55 ($17,753), the €33 NL Hold’em Turbo ($1,310), and the $82 NL Hold;em 4-Max Turbo Progressive Super Knockout ($1,470) aall at PokerStars in addition to more than 20 other in-the-money finishes.

Holman now finds himself sixth in the UK and a career-best 49th in the world.

Jude Ainsworth Opens A Gap in the Irish Rankings

Former world number four, Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth has opened a slight gap at the top of the Irish online poker rankings thanks mainly to a big cash on Sunday night. Ainsworth managed a seventh place finish in the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Challenge that gifted him 115 ranking points and pushed him further ahead of Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen.

Killeen won’t be too bothered about this because you may recall that he finished as runner-up in the 2015 Paddy Power Irish Open and banked €192,500 for his troubles.

A trio of Irishmen helped themselves to significant wins this past week and have all improved their positions as a result.

James “Jaymo” Noonan won the PokerStars Hot $11 for $7,347 , while Eoin “starfish” Starr took down the eighth event of the SCOOP festival for $13,885. Lastly, Frank “Denman98” Lillis walked away with $5,756 after binking the $55 buy-in Nightly Twenty-Five Grand at PokerStars.
