Daniel O’Callaghan Revealed as New Team PKR Pro

Daniel O’Callaghan

PKR, the world’s only true 3d online poker site, has continued the tradition of promoting its loyal customers to Team PKR Pro status with the unveiling of Daniel O’Callaghan as a new patch wearing grinder.

O’Callaghan joined PKR back in 2008 and his “danshreddies” alias has become a constant feature in PKR’s tournaments where he has accumulated more than $150,000 in winnings.

The new Team PKR Pro is no slouch away from the comforts of the virtual felt, either. In March 2014, O’Callaghan almost took down the $500 PLR Live Mixed Max event at Aspers, falling at the final hurdle to as runner-up to Jeff Kimber. In March 2015, O’Callaghan went one better and walked away with the title of PKR Live champion and a cool £19,000.

Hailing from Hartlepool, O’Callaghan will fly the PKR flag alongside Patty “BabyTes” Beaumier and the recent partypoker WPT 500 UK champion Eleanor “Elz442” Gudger.

Speaking of securing a spot on PKR’s pro roster, O’Callaghan said:

“I'm as thrilled as I am flattered to be asked to become part of the team. Just as people dream of playing for their favourite football team, I wanted to be a part of Team PKR Pro when I joined PKR. I actually owe a lot to many former Team Pros who have had a huge impact on the development of my understanding of poker.

Sascha Walter first encouraged me to study the theory of the game in 2012, while Sofia Lovgren and Simon Hemsworth were fantastic in offering honest advice and feedback on some of my strategy articles.

“It's an honour to follow in their footsteps, I'm really blown away! I just hope I can repay PKR's faith by stepping up to the plate and delivering. Fingers crossed for a heater!”

You can play against O’Callaghan and his two fellow Team PKR Pros by downloading PKR via PokerNews. Doing so entitled you to a large 200% up to $1,000 first deposit bonus.
