Conor Beresford Hits Form and the UK Online Poker Rankings Top 10

UK online poker rankings

There hasn’t been a whole lot of change to the UK online poker rankings this week, but that is not to say that our players have not been helping themselves to big scores because they have. The lack of change is mainly down to the fact that the majority of the players in the top 10 all had great scores and therefore stayed in almost the same position as the previous week.

Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell retains the top spot in the UK this week although former world number one Patrick “pleno1” Leonard has closed the gap to a mere 51 points after winning a $215 NL Hold’em Turbo at PokerStars ($6,450), finishing third in FTOPS Event #25 ($13,305) and having a hat trick of third place finishes at PokerStars and its French-facing site.

Sheffield’s Rick “TheClaimeer” Trigg is closing in on Vicente “vincenfish” Delgado in third place and if he has any more results such as the outright win in the 888poker $100,000 Meg Deep ($40,236) completely sealing the gap and then pushing himself in front won’t be a problem.

One of the biggest movers this week was Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who returned to the top 10 in the UK and 57th place in the world, which is not a million of miles away from his career-high of 54th in the world.

Beresford finished third in the Thursday Thrill for almost $25,000 then won the $162 buy-in Nightly Forty Grand ($8,405) before push-folding his way to a fourth place finish in the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic ($19,440).

Another player with reasons to celebrate is Rhys “floppinhel” Jones who is now ninth in the UK following a deep run in the Super Tuesday, a runner-up finish in the Bigger $162 ($29,952) at PokerStars then a deep run in the partypoker Pokerfest $150,000 Guaranteed High Roller ($8,879).
