UK & Ireland Online Rankings: Conor Beresford Climbs to Eighth

It has been another great week for online poker tournament specialists residing the United Kingdom and Ireland and that is reflected in the latest update of the rankings.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford has been putting in some superb results for a while now and his consistency has resulted in him climbing to eighth place in the UK standings. Since the previous update, Beresford won a $215 NL Hold'em Turbo for $10,470 and had a number of deep runs including a 10th place finish in The Big $162 ($1,073), fourth in a $215 NL Hold'em Turbo ($3,723), sixth in a $109 NL Hold'em Turbo ($3,616), third in the $51 NL Hold'em Hyper ($1,576), seventh in the Big $019 ($3,572) and fifth in the $320 NL Hold'em 6-Max ($3,062).

All of Beresford's results came from play at PokerStars.

Chris “Moorman1” Moorman smashed through the $12 million barrier this week thanks to two big wins at PokerStars. Moorman collected $19,627 for winning the $109 NL Hold'em Turbo 1R1A and an additional $11,304 when he took down the $320 NL Hold'em 6-Max that the aforementioned Beresford came fifth in.

Moorman is now third in the UK and 13th in the world.

Returning to the top 20 this week is Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor thank to being the runner-up in the Full Tilt T-Rex ($9,600) and winning a $109 NL Hold'em Turbo at PokerStars ($4,838).

Look out for big jumps next week for Jareth “jareth3542” East and Andy “andyh26” Holman thank to the pair winning big on Tuesday night. East won the new $50,000 Volcano on 888poker for $27,812.12 while Holman more than doubled his largest score by finishing second in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $75,460.00.

Jude Ainsworth Closes Gap at the Top of the Irish Rankings

Former Team PokerStars Pro Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth is within touching distance of the Irish number one spot and has John “gruaiggorm” Daly firmly in his sights. Ainsworth closed the gap at the top of the Irish leader board following a runner-up finish in the Full Tilt Sunday Major that saw the high-volume grinder bank $23,128.

Also adding some zeros to their bankroll was “Rowniwn.” A third place in the Bigger $162 added $20,424 to his winnings and this impressive result was followed up with a runner-up finish in the $215 NL Hold'em Turbo ($4,681) and a third place in the Hot $55 ($5,577) all at PokerStars. Rowniwn is now up to sixth in Ireland and 399th in the world.
