UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings: Kevin Killeen Returns to Top Spot in Ireland
For the past few weeks, we have been going on and on about the race for first place in the Irish online poker rankings and said it was between John “gruaiggorm” Daly and Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth. It appears that we were wrong to exclude Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen from the race for number one because he leapfrogged both Daly and Ainsworth this week and is Ireland's number one player right now.
Killeen climbed two places to first on the back of some great results over the weekend. The European Poker Tour London finalist finished as a runner-up in Saturday's Full Tilt Tyrannosaurus Rex ($3,003) before making amends a day later and winning PokerStars.fr's High Roller for $12,489. Throw into the mix a handful of other scores and viola! Killeen is king once more.
Ainsworth did overtake Daly yet is still in second place. A large percentage of Ainsworth's play seems to be on French sites and his aggressive style of play is obviously working there judging by his recent results. Surely it is only a matter of when, not if, Ainsworth reclaims the Irish number one spot?
Returning to the Irish top 10 this week is Michael “BIGMIKG” Graydon who seems to have hit a rich vein of form, particularly at partypoker and Paddy Power Poker. Graydon, a former Supernova Elite, has been reaching final tables for fun this past week and even managed three wins and a brace of seconds on Monday night.
Special mentions go to Marc Macdonnell who came third in the PokerStars.fr Sunday Special for a cool $11,947 and to Frank “Denman98” Lillis who in the past few days has finished third in the Big $8.80 ($3,768), and $11 NL Hold'em rebuy ($1,218) and won a $2.20 NL Hold'em rebuy ($2,759) at PokerStars in addition to finishing second in the Full Tilt $10,000 Guarantee ($2,157). Lillis Is now 12th in Ireland, an increase of three places on last week.

Patrick Leonard Still UK Number One
The past week has been a quiet one when compared to some, but that has not prevented the top 10 of the PocketFives.com UK online poker rankings from having a reshuffle.
Despite focussing more on cash games in 20015, Patrick Leonard is still the man at the top of the pile. Leonard stated on the Blonde Poker forum that most of his time in 2015 is going to be playing cash games as he attempts to attain Supernova Elite status. That said, Leonard is still going to dip his toes into the tournament waters and help himself to prizes such as the $8,287 sixth place prize awarded in last weekend's Sunday Major at Full Tilt.
With Leonard more interested in cash games, Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell has the perfect opportunity to claim the UK number one spot for himself. The Bristol-based Spaniard rose one place to second in the UK this week, but more importantly for him he broke into the worldwide top 10, something we know has been a long-term goal of his.
Serradell's win in the PokerStars $8.80 NL Hold'em rebuy ($7,106), and a fourth place finish in The Hot $75 ($4,882) aided his push to an all-time high.
Also moving northwards this week were Jareth East and Andy Holman.
East won the Full Tilt Sunday Major a couple of weeks ago and followed up that impressive result with a victory in the PokerStars Thursday Thrill ($50,065), an exciting $1,050 buy-in progressive super knockout event.
Holman now founds himself in ninth place in the UK not least because of a brace of big wins at PokerStars. Holman finished second in the $215 NL Hold'em Turbo Re-entry for $5,184 and a two days later followed that up with a win in the non-re-entry version of that tournament and banked $10,920.
