One hundred and seventy players took part in the 888poker Live Local Series Dublin Main Event at ClubPoker Rathmines over the weekend and they were all outlasted by Colm Hanlon who goes down in the poker history books as the fledgling tour's second champion.
Hanlon is a regular on the Dublin poker scene and it's likely Dublin will be be seeing more of him in the coming weeks thanks to him walking away from the 888poker sponsored event with the €7,200 first place prize.

Fellow Irish stars Daragh Davey (13th for €750) and former World Series of Poker Main Event final table member Andy Black (sixth for €2,000) were just two big names to leave Dublin with some prize miney for their efforts.
Hanlon went into the final table a the chip leader and saw his guaranteed prize money increase with the eliminations of Bartolotta Gioachino and Gary Fields in ninth and eighth place.
Gioachino and Fields were followed to the cashier's desk by Donal Kenney, the aforementioned Andy Black, Richard O'Neill and Gareth Cooney, the latter walking away with €2,600 after winning his seat in a live satellite for only €20!
Third place, and €3,000, went to Bryan Nicholson leaving Hanlon and Justin Boyle to lock horns heads-up. The final hand saw Hanlon raise, a short-stacked Boyle three-bet all-in with and Hanlon called with . The five community cards fell , busting Boyle and leaving Hanlon to win the trophy and €7,200 in cash.
