Sunday Briefing: Robeebee Takes Down TCOOP-17; Wins $110,000 0001

With so much live poker action going on this weekend, namely the UKIPT5 London Main Event, partypoker WPT National Cyprus and the 2015 Aussie Millions being in full swing, online poker kind of took a back seat. That's not to say there weren't any amazing results for British players t brag about, far from it.

At PokerStars, the Turbo Championship Of Online Poker (TCOOP) marched onwards and one of the biggest events on the schedule was also one of the best for our players.

TCOOP-17, a $215 NL Hold'em tournament with a $500,000 guarantee, attracted 3,787 players to it, which resulted in the guaranteed being smashed by some $257,400. Three British players managed to stay ahead of the blinds and avoid enough bad beats to reach the final table where there was a huge $118,912.70 first place prize.

147_star” fell in seventh place and banked $17,041.50 leaving “Masion Close” and “Robeebee” as the two remaining players with the Union Jack displayed in the chip counts. Amazingly, these two players managed a one-two finish, Maison Close finishing in second place and Robeebee claiming the title. Both agreed to a deal heads-up that saw Maison Close secure a $97,528.50 payout and the champion $110,000.00.

Another British player winning a PokerStars Sunday Major was “TrueCueNuts” who is now $47,669.47 richer after taking down The Bigger $109, while “_JMCD_89” chopped the Sunday 500 three-ways before finishing second for $47,611.29.

Keeping with PokerStars, “Adrien111111” came fifth in the TCOOP-16: $320 NL Hold'em Progressive Super-Knockout and walked away with $46,628.11 in prize money and $946.87 in bounty payments, “ppswktn” busted seventh in the Sunday Million for $29,185.20 and Kevin “GamblingPays” Allen finished fourth in the Sunday 2nd Chance for $17,494.40.

Tamer “Tamthemanwho” Kamel is usually found crushing live poker tournaments, but entered the online world on Sunday and helped himself to the $4,181.62 that came with finishing eighth in The Bigger $162.

Completing the PokerStars results were a seventh place finish in the TCOOP edition of the Sunday Supersonic for Paul “Paul12907” Allen worth $14,484.91 and a fifth place in the Sunday Kickoff for “Stephouuu89” worth $7,842.25.

Top work ladies and gents!

At Full Tilt, “Vaffenculo” and Tom “hitthehole” Middleton finished second and third in The Sunday brawl and added $17,603.00 and $13,354,00 to their lifetime winnings.

There was a $6,007.50 score for “polsx” who finished third in The Big Ben, a $10,312.40 for “SirBaggio” who came fifth in The Sunday Major and scores of $4,070.25 and $1,959.75 for “pokerk1ng133” and Daryll “DJG1989” Green who finished fifth and seventh in The T-Rex.

Rounding off our recap of Sunday's action is a shout out to Rick “tHeClaImEr1” Trigg who banked $14,146.41 by finishing second in the partypoker $100,000 Guaranteed High Roller and also honourable mentions to Elliott “888luka21” Petermen, “mission30” and Paul “BobaFett411” McTaggart who busted fifth, seventh and eleventh in the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Challenge for scores of $6,479.60, $3,887.76 and $1,295.92.
