One of the best and most popular poker festivals held in the United Kingdom during 2014 was, without a doubt, the Sky Poker UK Poker Championships (UKPC). Everyone, including myself, who competed in the events were full of praise for the structure and how the excellent staff at Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) made the festival run like a dream.
In exactly one month's time, the Sky Poker UKPC returns to Europe's premier poker room and everything is pointing towards the 2015 edition of the UKPC being bigger and better than its 2014 counterpart. We didn't think that was even possible.
Kicking off the 2015 Sky Poker UKPC is the £100+£10 buy-in UKPC Mini, where the only thing mini is the buy-in because the guaranteed prize pool is an impressive £200,000. The UKPC Mini features seven live Day 1s, including a turbo format on Day 1g, plus four online starting flights to be played at DTD's online poker site.
Following on from the UKPC Mini is the 2015 UKPC Main Event and its gigantic £1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The buy-in for this special tournament tops the scales at £1,000, but you can win a seat for peanuts over at Sky Poker, but you'll need to hurry because UKPC satellites won't be available forever.
Those of you who are feeling flush will be delighted to learn of the £3,000 buy-in High Roller, which boasts of a £150,000 guaranteed prize pool. Some of the UK, Ireland and Europe's top poker talent should descend on Nottingham for the High Roller, making for exciting times for poker fans and for us here at UK & Ireland PokerNews.
Sandwiched between the Main Event and the High Roller is a £1,000 buy-in UKPC 8-Max event. This particular tournament has a £100,000 prize pool.
