Sunday Briefing: Billy Chattaway Wins Sunday 2nd Chance
This weekend saw the final Sunday Majors of 2014 and British grinders signed off in style, helping themselves to hundreds of thousands of dollars across the biggest online poker sites.
One of the biggest scores had by a Brit this weekend weighed in at an impressive $56,648.50, the sum now in the PokerStars account of Billy “b8chatz” Chattaway thanks to popular grinder taking down the Sunday 2nd Chance in the early hours of Monday morning.
Chattaway was ranked as high as 21st in the world by PocketFives.com back in 2012, but now finds himself 376th. This latest impressive result, the largest of his online career, should see him soar up the rankings once again.
The Londoner wasn't the only British player helping himself to a substantial Christmas bonus at PokerStars because a trio of others secured payouts in excess of $40,000.
“EnisMarch,” a former winner of the Sunday 500, finished third in the Sunday Warm-Up for a $57,519.00 addition to his bankroll, while Paul “pvas2” Vas Nunes collected $46,000.00 after a three-way chip in the Sunday Rebuy before going onto finish second.
In the Bigger $109, Rob “rtinnion” Tinnion finished in third place for a $32,793.75 score, Tinnion of course is a former Sunday Million champion and a player who we think is definitely one to watch out for in 2015, if only because of his ability to put in a ton of volume at the virtual felt.

Recently, 888poker has been a happy hunting ground for British players on a Sunday and while this weekend may not have been as profitable as some weeks, there was still plenty to shout about for those featuring the Union Jack next to their alias'.
“PakManSam” reached the final table of the $100,000 Mega Deep, busting in sixth place for $6,544.00, while in the $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep “JonnyB35” came sixth and banked $2,966.50 for his efforts.

At partypoker, the $200K Guaranteed drew a blank for our players, but the $100,000 High Roller defintiely bore fruit. First, “carpediem400” busted in sixth place for $6,413.81 then Marc “railethe23price” Wright fell in fourth place for $8,832.13, which rounded out a decent night at the virtual felt for our players.
