British Grinders Crush This Week's Sunday Majors

British Grinders Crush This Week's Sunday Majors 0001

Christmas came early for a bunch of British grinders on Sunday judging by the number of huge results they enjoyed at partypoker, PokerStars, Full Tilt and 888poker.

Newcastle's Jason Williams is going to enjoy the festive period thanks to banking $32,750 in the early hours of Monday morning. Williams, playing as “alstonsloft,” took down the partypoker $200K Guaranteed, which saw only 866 players compete, leaving partypoker with a $38,924 overlay.

Williams' win wasn't the only victory for our heroes because Essex's Dave “magicdave2” Hardy was in the winner's circle at 888poker. Hardy is $33,276 richer thank to binking the $100,000 Mega Deep, a tournament that South Yorkshire's “Too_good_444” finished eighth in for $2,973.60.

Keeping with 888poker, we have to give a big shout out to Ben “TopBeaver69” Spraggons who took down the $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep for $14,398, while “ckb4714” and “JussClicking” finished eighth and ninth in the $100,000 Sunday Challenge for scores of $2,163.64 and $1,622.73.

Over at PokerStars, the player known as “03042921” won the Sunday Rebuy and netted a massive score of $48,356.25. Fellow Brit Gavin “gavz101” Cochrane finished third in the same tournament for a welcomed $25,790.00 boost to his bankroll.

Last week, Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer helped himself to a $20,000+ score and he did the same this week thanks to a third place finish in The Bigger $109. This result secured a $25,536 payout for Brammer and should see him continue his climb up the UK online poker rankings when they're updated on December 17.

Brammer was joined on the final table by Andy “wiisssppppaa” Taylor who busted in seventh place, a finish worth $7,144.00.

Other notable PokerStars scores from our heroes include a seventh place finish in the Sunday Million for “Goldenboys” ($28,190.80), a runner-up finish in the Bigger $162 for “lov10k” ($28,168.87), and a fifth place in the Sunday 2nd Chance for Oliver “ollie_p” Price ($11,830.00).

There was also a trio of superb results for non-Brits who call the United Kingdom home. Jorryt van Hoof, better-known as “TheCleaner11” won the Sunday Warm-Up for $91,814.29 and Frenchman Antoine “A.Saout” Saout finished sixth in the same event for $19,298.40.

Rounding out the results was the win by Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit in the Sunday 500 that banked him $65,431.50.

Grinders in Full Tilt's Sunday Majors enjoyed success, including “UpTheMariners” who collected $30,444.80 for his runner-up finish in FTOPS Event #29, “jambeyang” who finished second in the Big Ben for $8,389.51, “pokerk1ng133” who secured a $10,602.00 payout for finishing 10th in the FTOPS Main Event and Daryl “DJG1989” Green who finished second in the Super Sized Sunday for a score of $17,136.00.
