The Betting Corner: Three Safe Bets for the Weekend

The Betting Corner is your one-stop shop to discover what's hot in sports betting and grab some useful betting tips from our friends at BookieSmash, iBus Media Network's newest online portal dedicated to sports betting.

No matter how intriguing the international games over the past two weeks might have been, it's great to get back to Premier League action, starting tomorrow. At Bookiesmash we've got the top betting tips and deals to swing results your way.

In the early kickoff, Manchester City, last season's champion, takes on Tottenham. City's 2-0 late, late win over Aston Villa came due in part to a late piece of magic and power from Yaya Toure to break Villa's resolve.

Toure had been one of the players most criticized by the media in the aftermath of a disappointing start to the season. Spurs have had some disappointing results in recent weeks, but look to be on the way back to form.

Against Southampton they got a 1-0 win, which was needed for neutrals to believe in them, and shows Mauricio Pochettino's team to be, again, a side worth betting on. That said, Spurs have a tendency to come unstuck against the big teams.

Early kickoffs suit no one, and we're putting our chips on City for this one; Ladbrokes has 13/4 for City to win from a drawing position at halftime.

Later on, Chelsea faces its nemesis from last season, Crystal Palace. Last time around Palace featured in one of the Blues' most surprising defeats, a John Terry own-goal, causing one of the results most Chelsea fans say lost the team the Premier League.

This time around the Chelsea squad is far stronger in all positions, and it seems highly unlikely there will be any result other than a win for Jose Mourinho's men. A 2-0 victory is 6/1 with Betfair, with the reliable Andre Schurrle 19/10 with Betfair to score anytime.

On Monday, West Bromwich Albion faces Manchester United, which must surely be firm favorites for what is nonetheless a game that will test the remodeled defense and midfield to the limit.

West Brom has been playing well recently under new coach Alan Irvine, and has, in Saido Berahino, a striker on great form. The issue will be how often and how much they can test United's back four or back three; if Berahino can use his pace to get in behind them, this could be a closer game than many imagine.

We expect a United win, but with both teams scoring. A 2-1 win is 8/1 with Bet365, and Radamel Falcao is 4/1 with Betfair to score first.
