A new competition on Full Tilt Poker gives you the chance to sit at the table with Gus Hansen or Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, and play for a $5,000 prize at the price of…a selfie!
If you thought that the Heads Up Showdown battle announced a week ago by Full Tilt Poker was going to be a solitary fight between the two Pros, a new promotion from the Red Room is here to prove to you that you were just wrong. Oh, so wrong.
Because starting from today, Sept. 4, you can get your chance to join the heads up battle and bring home a $5,000 prize in a freeroll to remember.
Heads Up Showdown – the Selfie Competition
On Sunday, Sept. 14, the two players will go to battle for a $50,000 prize that Full Tilt will award to the winner a best-of-three heads up duel.
The competition will include a game of stud 8, a game of no-limit 2-7 triple draw and a conclusive game of no-limit hold'em.
Before the battle begins, Full Tilt is giving you the opportunity to show your support to Hansen or Blom, have some fun, and at the same time compete for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Here's how it works:
- Click on one of the two masks below, print it, and use it to take a "creative" selfie while you have it on.
- Tweet your selfie before 23:59 ET on Monday, September 8, including the hashtag #HUGus or #HUBlom (according to the player you chose) in your message.
- Keep your fingers crossed and hope that the world will appreciate your creativity!
On Tuesday, September 9, Full Tilt will take the top five most retweeted and favourited selfies and organize a public vote to ask players and readers of their blog to choose the best one for each "category." The vote will end on Friday, September 11.
After that, the winner of each poll will get the opportunity to challenge their chosen pro for $5,000 in a heads up no limit hold'em sit-and-go freeroll on Sunday, September 14 at 13:45 ET.
Wait. There's one more requirement…
Although it feels almost a little silly to say this, the other additional requirement to take part to this promo is to actually have an account on Full Tilt Poker.
True, you will not need one to join the competition and you will not be asked for your username when you will decide to vote (ehm) for yourself (ehm-ehm)...but you will definitely have to have one ready in case the world will decide that you should be the one to sit at the table with Hansen or Blom.
