Peers and pilsuhng Enter UK Online Poker Rankings Top 20 0001

It is Wednesday and that not only means that we are halfway through the working week, it also means that our friends over at PocketFives have updated their extensive database of online poker results and made the latest leaderboard available.

Sat at the top of the United Kingdom’s leaderboard is Patrick Leonard who seems to have made the number one berth his own. In addition to him being number one in the UK, Leonard is also ranked third in the world and is not a million miles away from Matt “pocket00” Kay, the world’s top online poker tournament player according to the ranking system.

The top 10 is occupied by the same 10 players as last week, with the only real differences being Toby Lewis climbing above Christopher Johnson into third place and Charlie Combes leapfrogging Chris Moorman into fifth. We caught up with Johnson earlier this week, you can read more about the Sunday Million winner in his article.

Look further down the standings and you will see that Rhys Jones and Sam Grafton have fallen out of the top 20 and been replaced by Allan “bigal37” Peers and a player going by the name of “pilsuhng”.

Peers’ recent massive weekend helped to push him into the top 20, namely his second place finish in the Nightly Thirty-Five Grand ($6,525) and his runner-up finish in the Sunday Warm-Up ($68,173.50) both at PokerStars.

The player known as “pilsuhng” has been enjoying plenty of success at PokerStars of late and has results including a third place in The Hot $75 for $6,519, a win in the $55 NL Hold’em Turbo for $4,760, a third place in The Big $109 for $9,715 and then a win in the $320 Saturday Super-Knockout for $26,027. It is that last result and his fifth place in the Big $162 that have seen him catapulted into 16th place in the UK rankings.

Daragh “daragh999” Davey In Form in Ireland

Across the Irish Sea it is Daragh Davey who is in a rich vein of form and has been for at least the last couple of weeks. Looking at Davey’s recent results reveals plethora of deep runs in low-to-mid stakes tournaments on a variety of sites.
