Partypoker Releases Special Edition fastforward App

fastforward: special edition

Poker players in Austria, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom are the first to be able to download and play on the brand new mobile poker app from partypoker.

Partypoker customers can already access an Android and iOS native client that allows them to play in cash games, sit-and-go tournaments and casino games from their favourite mobile devices, but this new app has been specially designed with partypoker’s fast-fold poker offering in mind.

The new app, unveiled as “fastforward: special edition,” can be downloaded for iPhones at the App Store or players can enjoy it via their smartphone’s browser thanks to it being built in HTML5. As the name suggests, this new version of partypoker’s mobile app is built with fastforward poker in mind and features a patent-pending swipe interface that allows players to play one-handed much easier.

Players can swipe their cards to fold their hand, swipe the displayed chip to call, bet or raise, double tap the screen to check, use the slider to select their bet amount and can tap the pot to open more betting options such as betting half-pot or full pot.

In a post at the partypoker blog reveals “We engineered it specifically for mobile handset users, after thinking about how we use these devices – or should use these devices – to play card games. The game is the same, but HOW you play is nothing at all like on other mobile poker games.”

“While the main partypoker app also enables you to play fastforward games, we believe this special edition enhances the experience. The controls are more interactive and using just one hand is more practical.”

As the current version of the fastforward: special edition app is still in the Beta stage, users of it are urged to provide feedback to partypoker by emailing (putting HTML5) in the heading, or via Twitter with the hashtag #HTML5.
