Toby Lewis Reclaims UK Number 1 Spot; Now 6th in the World

Toby "810ofclubs" Lewis

Toby “810ofclubs” Lewis has reclaimed the number one spot in the United Kingdom’s online poker rankings, toppling Patrick “pleno1” Leonard from the top of the tree. However, Lewis’ lead is a mere 10.74 points so his reign at the summit of the leader board could well be short-lived.

Lewis followed up his impressive six-figure cash in the SCOOP with a handful of deep runs that earned him big points that are used for the standings. A third place in the Sunday 6-Max for $5,807 netted Lewis more than 110 points, while his seventh place finish in the PokerStars $215+R NL Hold’em banked the popular pro $3,043 and 83.25 points and they proved enough to see the former European Poker Tour Vilamoura champion claim the number one spot.

Leonard kept tabs on Lewis thanks to a sixth place finish in the PokerStars $162 Sunday 6-Max. That result added $4,262 to Leonard’s bankroll and 128.63 points to his ranking. Amazingly, this was the first week that Leonard hasn’t had a five-figure score since the last week of April!

The Top 5 is rounded out by Rick Trigg, Chris Moorman and Charlie Combes. Trigg looks set to miss the 2014 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, instead preferring to grind a bazillion tournaments online where the fields should be much softer than usual.

Expect Combes to knock Moorman down a position when his sixth place in the recent Super Tuesday comes into effect on his profile. With Moorman expected to play a busy WSOP schedule, he could return to the online grind much lower than his current fourth place.
