Largest Ever World Championship of Amateur Poker Begins

The 2014 World Championship of Amateur Poker, brought to you by the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) gets under way on Tuesday 15 April with the first of 16 bracelet-awarding events. These events have buy-ins ranging from £55 to £220 and have extra value attached thanks to APAT adding three trips to Las Vegas, commemorative bracelets and medals with a combined estimated value of £50,000.

Kicking off the seven-day festival of poker is the £55 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Championship that should see the 120 capacity reached in record time. Later on the same day, Seven Card Stud specialists will descend on the Aspers Stratford Westfield casino as the £55 buy-in Stud championship begins.

Other highlights of the festival include a £220 High Roller, a £55 Mixed Game Championship, a £110 buy-in World Amateur Team Championship and the eagerly anticipated £110 buy-in World Amateur Poker Championship that is played over three-days its structure is that good!
