Mick Graydon and Dara O’Kearney Climb Up The Irish Online Rankings

Mick Graydon

Two of Ireland’s most prominent poker players climbed up the online tournament rankings this week following a string of impressive results. The top 10 ranked players are still the same as last week, although the order has changed slightly with Mick Graydon jumping two places to seventh and Dara O’Kearney moving up one place to ninth.

Former Supernova Elite Graydon had some great results last week, but they didn’t count towards his points tally due to their timing. “BIGMIKG” finished second in the partypoker $12,500 Gtd for $1,375 and then won the $8,000 Hurricane at 888poker for $2,400 on the same night. Graydon then took down the $12,500 Gtd at partypoker on the following night for a $2,012 score, which made amends for his runner-up finish on the previous night!

O’Kearney seems to have put in plenty of volume over the past week judging by the fact he’s cashed almost 40 times since last Wednesday. The largest of these cashes weighed in at $2,891 which was O’Kearney’s reward for finishing second in the €12,500 Gtd Rebuy on the iPoker Network.

Another player who is in sparkling form is Kevin “torin2000” Killeen, who you may recall is the current UKIPT Dublin Main Event champion. Killeen returned to the virtual felt a couple of nights ago and helped himself to the $4,083 first place prize in the PokerStars $33 rebuy and the $2,750 third place prize in the $55 NL Hold’em 6-max turbo. Top work, sir.

A big shout out too to Dan “NukeTheFish” Wilson who last week binked the €7,500 GTD Rebuy on iPoker and followed up that result with a fifth place in the PokerStars Hot $75 a couple of nights later for combined scores in excess of $6,200!
