The seemingly unstoppable Chris Moorman is still the man to catch at the top of the United Kingdom online poker rankings thanks in part to securing his record 20th Triple Crown during the week. Moorman now has 7,511.54 points using the PocketFives.com scoring system, which places him at the top of the UK standings and fourth in the worldwide rankings.
The $10 million man has been crushing tournaments for fun of late and he is now homing in on an unprecedented $11 million in winnings. Yes, he is $280,000 away from that ridiculous figure, but surely it is only a matter of time before the man from Essex reaches that lofty total.
Climbing one place to second in the UK is Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer. The 25-year old’s points tally was given a sizable boost when he finished second in the $162 buy-in Sunday 6-Max at PokerStars; his bankroll was also bolstered to the tune of $19,450.
Brammer’s rise to second place could be short-lived because third placed Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes took down the Winamax High Roller on Tuesday night and earned a shedload of points as a result. It will be interesting to see how the battle for second place progresses this week.
Also moving in a northerly direction was Sheffield’s Rick “TheClaimer” Trigg who you may recall won his first PocketFives.com Triple Crown last week. Trigg has put in some tremendous volume at the virtual felt in 2014 and it seems to be working wonders for his game.
Since completing his first Triple Crown of online titles, Trigg has won The Hot $109 at PokerStars, finished second in The Big $8.80, come third in the $112 Heads-Up Hyper-Turbo at PokerStars and binked an $82 NL Hold’em 6-Max Hyper-Turbo and a $109 1R1A! The man is in scintillating form.
The UK Top 10 has a brand new face, that of London-based Spaniard Sergio Aido, better-known as “zcedrick” at PokerStars or “petgamingsp” at Full Tilt Poker. Aido seemed to take some time from the online poker grind in late January, but has now returned with a win in the PokerStars $109 Cubed and a second place in the Full Tilt Poker Tyrannosaurus Rex, among other impressive results.

Ainsworth Still Top in Ireland, But For How Long?
Jude Ainsworth still tops the Irish rankings although his lead is now down to less than 480 points, which is the least it has been for some time. Ainsworth has been reaching the money places on a regular basis, but to stay on top of a country’s leader board, you need to be finishing in the top 3 when you cash. Ainsworth has managed this a few times this week, although not anywhere near as frequently as he did in mid-2013.
The most intense battle in the Irish standings is the one for fourth place that is currently being contested by Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen, Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer and Michael “BIGMIKG” Graydon.
Killeen had a superb result in the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl, finishing fourth for almost $17,500 while Graydon bagged the PokerStars $109 rebuy title and its near $9,900 first place prize. Graydon also won the $215 NL Hold’em Turbo 2x Chance at PokerStars, but that result came in too late to be added to Graydon’s total. Once it is added, Graydon coould climb to fourth place as there are only 299.55 points separating Killeen in fourth and Graydon in sixth.
