Genting Poker has released the dates for the third edition of the increasingly popular Genting Poker Series (GPS III). Running from February to December 2014, GPS III stops at eight destinations around the UK, starting with Birmingham and ending with the Grand Final in the Steel City of Sheffield.
Poker Manager at Genting UK, Kevin Proctor, said of the new series: “We now people are anxious to have the dates for Series III. It was the talk of the tables at Fountainpark Edinburgh last week and therefore we are releasing them earlier than ever before.
Our partnership with Dusk Till Dawn goes front strength-to-strength and as such I am delighted that they will be hosting another leg within next year’s series in September. The club is tailor made to host a sensational GPS leg. Its location makes it easy for anyone in the country to get to and the layout of the venue is perfect for hosting a big field tournament and supporting some incredible side events and cash games.”
Proctor was of course referring to the late addition of a Dusk Till Dawn leg to the end of GPS II.
Following on the traditions of past series, GPS III kicks off at the Genting Club Star City in Birmingham. GPS II Star City saw 590 players buy in for £440 and create a prize pool of £236,000. The eventual winner of that leg was Sky Poker’s Julian Thew who walked away with a bankroll-boosting £40,120.
Other stops on the GPS III calendar include Southend, Stoke, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

This should please the GPS regulars no end and I have no doubts at all that the GPS III will smash each guarantee in 2014.
