Check Out the Sam Trickett High Roller Room at Dusk Till Dawn

Trickett's Room

Bellagio in Las Vegas has the world famous Bobby’s Room, and Aria has the Ivey Room. Now, the Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) poker room in the United Kingdom has its own high-stakes area named after one of poker’s superstars, Sam Trickett.

Trickett’s Room is the new high-stakes area at the popular DTD casino in Nottingham. Named after Trickett, who started his poker career playing low-stakes cash games and tournaments at DTD, Trickett’s Room has completely transformed the old bar area of the club and would look the part in any casino across the globe.

The amazing looking room is the result of the hard work and vision shown by Kirsty-Marie McGowan and Alex Ottewell, who recently collaborated to form OTTEWELL & MCGOWAN. According to Ottewell, the pair drew “inspiration from the 1970's Vegas scene and the swanky, glamorous 60’s Mad Men style, to come up with a space oozing with masculine elegance.”

One of the main features is the bespoke wooden wall that stretches across the full length of the room, sectioning the elegant space from the hustle bustle of the main casino. The partition consists of metallic-trimmed, black-wooden rotating panels that can be adjusted in accordance to guests’ preference.

“When closed, the panels create total privacy for the guests that prefer a more private retreat, but still allow sound to seep through very small gaps, so that guests are still exposed to the atmosphere of the main casino. For the more ‘status conscious’, the panels can be kept open allowing passers by to take a peek through the wall and observe. When open, light from the main casino area bounces off the metallic edging panels illuminating the wall, creating a beacon which can be seen from all areas of the casino,” said a statement from OTTEWELL & MCGOWAN who have had Trickket’s Room entered into the Best Restaurant/Bar Design category of the 2013 Northern Design Awards.

Trickett’s room is open and functioning and will be on display for all to see when the PokerStars UKIPT rolls into town on Nov. 28 for the first-ever six-max UKIPT Main Event in the history of the ever-popular tour.

Trickett the player needs no introduction thanks in part to his phenomenal record in super high roller events that have helped him amass over $19.8 million in live tournament winnings and countless more millions from the high-stakes cash games in Macau.
