How to Qualify for the UKIPT Isle of Man Festival

The best place to qualify for any UKIPT event is at the world’s biggest online poker site PokerStars. Regardless of the size of your bankroll, you will be able to find a satellite that fits your budget perfectly.

Your cheapest UKIPT Isle of Man satellite will not break the bank because it is a freeroll tournament! These UKIPT Isle of Man Nightly Freerolls run every evening at 20:00 UK time and see the top 10 players progress to the weekly final.

Those of you who have been playing for real money and have built up a collection of Frequent Player Points (FPPs) will be happy to know there are FPP satellites running daily, too. These Hyper Turbo games run at 7:52 p.m UK time and 10:22 p.m. UK time costing 2,500 and 1,620 FPPs respectively.

Should you wish to miss out the freeroll and FPP satellites and start a little further up the qualification ladder there are plenty of options to choose from. With buy-ins ranging from £0.50 and steadily increasing to £215, you are sure to find a tournament that fulfils your needs. Here are a selection of our favourite satellites:

  • £2.20 rebuy (3 seats to the £162 qualifier GTD) at 6:07 p.m
  • £20 freezeout (1 seat to the £162 qualifier GTD) at 7:17 p.m .
  • £5.50 rebuy (1 UKIPT Isle of Man seat GTD) at 7:22 p.m
  • £162 UKIPT Isle of Man Qualifier (3 packages GTD) at 8:02 p.m

Once you reach the UKIPT Isle of Man Qualifiers, you have the choice of Seat Only and Package. Seat Only is exactly what it suggests, a seat to the UKIPT Isle of Man Main Event worth £1,100. The Package consists of £1,100 tournament entry, hotel for the duration of the UKIPT Isle of Man Main Event, and £175 spending money.

Where to Stay on the Isle of Man

Despite the island only measuring 32 miles (52km) long by 14 miles (22km) wide, the Isle of Man has a good selection of hotels to choose from should you want to head there on your own steam or after having won a Seat Only satellite at PokerStars.

According to Trip Advisor, the number one ranked Isle of Man hotel is Inglewood on Palace terrace, Queens Promenade. Costing £42.50 per person per night (including breakfast), staying at Inglewood will not break the bank and with the hotel only being 3.5 km away from where UKIPT Isle of Man is taking place, traveling to and from it should be cheap and easy, too. The only downside is Inglewood only caters for 16 rooms, so booking early is essential.

Other highly recommended places to rest your weary head include The Welbeck Hotel (approx. £90 per night), The Devonian (approx. £51 per night), Mereside (approx. £70 per night) and Ascot Hotel (approx. £70 per night).
