Jude Ainsworth has climbed back to the top of the UK & Ireland online poker rankings after three big results in two days pushed him 17 points ahead of the $10 million man Chris Moorman.
Ainsworth had a fantastic weekend at the virtual felt bagging almost $50,000. On October 5, the man from Claregalway binked the $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo a PokerStars for $7,482.00 and followed that up with a fifth place finish in the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl ($11,819) the following night. Shortly after that deep run on the Sunday Brawl, Ainsworth won the €500 buy-in €100,000 guaranteed High Roller at PokerStars’ French operation, adding another $29,150 to the coffers.
Had Ainsworth not one the High Roller event, Moorman would still be number one. Moorman bagged his 16th Triple Crown, another record he has broken, when he won the $30,000 Guaranteed at partypoker (the win that took him over the $10 million mark), the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em event and then, with mere hours to spare, Moorman won The Big €50 at PokerSars.FR to scoop Triple Crown #16.
The only players anywhere near Moorman in terms of Triple Crowns are Hungarian “Belabacsi” (11) and Team PokerStars Online Mickey “mementmori” Petersen (9).

Unsurprisingly, due to the UKIPT and European Poker Tour London festivals taking place, the top 10 has hardly change this week. The biggest jump was from Andrew “stato_1” Hulme who shot back into the top 10 following a second place in the PokerStars.FR Sunday Supersonic, an 11th place in the Winamax Grand Tournament and a 6th place in the Winamax High Roller. These three results added more than 300 leader board points to Hulme’s tally.
With the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe only days away, UK & Ireland PokerNews would expect there to be more movement in the rankings next week. A large percentage of the top 10 players should be in Paris vying for the most coveted piece of poker jewellery, which leaves their position in the table up for grabs. It will be interesting to see which players stay at home and grind online instead of locking horns at the actual felt in France.
