Chris Moorman Wins Third PocketFives.com Triple Crown of the Month; Jareth East Finishes Third in Super Tuesday
Chris Moorman is once again in the headlines, this time for winning the 18th PocketFives.com Triple Crown of his career and his third in October alone!
Moorman completed his 16th PocketFives.com Triple Crown on October 5 when he won The Big €50 at PokerStars.fr to go with outright victories in the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo and the $30,000 Guaranteed at partypoker; the partypoker win took Moorman over the $10 million winnings barrier.
On October 13, Moorman won a second October Triple Crown, his 17th in total, when he won the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl less than a week after taking down the XTASE at Winamax and th $82 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max Hyper Turbo at PokerStars. Those three results alone banked Moorman almost $60,000.
On the same day as his Sunday Brawl win, Moorman won the Full Tilt Poker T-Rex and the $60,000 guaranteed at partypoker before binking the PokerStars $55 buy-in $10,000 guaranteed for Triple Crown number 18 and the third in October! Although it is highly unlikely Moorman will be awarded a fourth Triple Crown in the next week, we would not put it past him!
Moorman now has almost $10.2 million in lifetime online tournament winnings and, according to PocketFives.com, is a full $3.3 million away from his nearest rival in terms of money won.
Jareth East Finishes Third in Super Tuesday
In mid-September, Jareth East created a PocketFives account, entered the screen names he plays under and instantly found himself in the top 20 ranked UK and Ireland players. Fast forward to today, and East is ranked eighth in the UK & Ireland standings and is on the verge of breaking into the top 100 worldwide rankings.
East’s third place finish in this week’s $1,050 buy-in Super Tuesday netted the Reigate, Surrey-based pro a career best $55,555, which takes his total online winnings to an impressive $847,488. Should East continue in the rich vein of form that he currently finds himself in, he should have no problem in surpassing $1 million in winnings before the end of 2013.
