English Poker Open Chooses MainEventTravel.com as its Official Travel Partner

English Poker Open

The well-oiled machine that is MainEventTravel.com has added yet another major partner to its already impressive list of clientele with the English Poker Open selecting them as its official travel partner.

“MainEventTravel.com are able to offer the English Poker Open customer and event management team unrivalled value for travel products.” Said a representative of the English Poker Open, before adding, “We outsource and collaborate with Main Event Travel because their hands-on and flexible approach ensures our customers receive a 1st class service for a 1st class event.”

This deal follows in the same vein as MainEventTravel.com’s deals with the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) and the Genting Poker Series (GPS).

This year’s English Poker Open is the fourth time the popular tournament has run, although this will be the first time it has taken place at the fantastic venue that is Aspers Westfield. Check out past English Poker Open results below:

Attendances in the English Poker Open have dropped year-on-year, but those figures only tell half of the story. In 2009, the tournament took place in the vast Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham, before shifting to the Palm Beach Casino in London. The English Poker Open took a year out in 20111, before heading to the now-defunct Fox Poker Club in 2012. Now that Aspers Westfield and MainEventTravel.com are on board, PokerNews would expect the English Poker Open to return towards the dizzy heights of 2009.

Upon finalising the deal with the English Poker Open, MainEventTravel.com’s Head of Poker Operations Dale Garrad – a keen poker player himself – said, “The Rake The Rake English Poker Open is widely recognised as an event attended by some of the UK’s finest players, notables last year included Sam Trickett, Toby Lewis, Neil Channing, Mickey Petersen, Chris Brammer and our very own sponsored pro Rhys Jones. 2013 looks sure to be a fantastic event and we look forward to helping players ‘Get There’”.
