Toby Lewis Climbs to Fourth in the UK & Ireland Rankings

Toby Lewis

The UK & Ireland online poker rankings are updated and the points totals tallied up. The top 10 remains almost identical to last week’s with the exception of Toby “810ofclubs” Lewis climbing to fourth place and Rick “TheClaimeer” Trigg returning to the top 10.

Lewis’ climb from ninth to fourth was mainly down to his impressive third place finish in this week’s Super Tuesday at PokerStars. That result bagged Lewis $57,298 in prize money and 386.75 points in the PocketFives rankings. With the SCOOP festival starting in a couple of days we would expect Lewis to play a full schedule and continue his climb up the standings.

Still at the top of the pile is the legendary Chris “moorman1” Moorman who opened up a 435-point lead for himself. Moorman’s already impressive points tally was given a boost by him adding Winamax to his list of poker sites and him finishing fifth in their Grand Tournament for the equivalent of $12,428.

Moorman also helped himself to win 208 of this career when he bested a talented field of 1,041 players in the $320 Saturday Super-Knockout at Full Tilt Poker, bagging himself $28,857.16 in the process.

Second place is currently occupied by Sebastian Saffari while Ross “RLOG” Loggie cemented his third place spot by winning the $17,500 guaranteed tournament ($55 buy-in) at PokerStars last weekend.

Rounding out the top ten are the aforementioned Lewis, Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer, Andrew “stato_1” Hulme, Jon “EMSBas” Spinks, Martin “molliemalone” Malone, Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes and Rick “TheClaimeer” Trigg.

As mentioned, the 2013 SCOOP is just around the corner and every tournament specialist worth their salt will be grinding away like there is no tomorrow. This gives a great chance for some of the players just outside the top 10 ranks to make a move and get their name in these articles! Keep an eye out for Rhys “floppinhel” Jones, Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth, Mat “matfrankland” Frankland and recent Triple Crown winner James “jamerOK” Cawley.
