Day 1b of the BoylePoker.com International Poker Open (IPO) London Main Event took place last night and saw another 107 players buy into the £225 tournament. Of the 107 starters just 39 managed to make it through to Saturday’s Day 2 and unless someone on Day 1c accumulates more than 163,700 chips it will be Philip Gould who leads them into battle.
Gould bagged up an impressive 163,700 chips at the end of Day 1b, which are enough to see him lead the IPO London Main Event overall. His nearest rivals on Day 1b were David Barnes and Graham George Giles who bagged and tagged 97,000 and 91,500 chips respectively and hhave done themselves no harm in their quest for poker glory.

Day 1c, the final starting flight of this particular event, kicks off at 19:00 and should see the biggest crowd of the three starting days. Players are urged to register online instead of at the casino if they can help it as large numbers are expected and this could cause unnecessary delays.
